About the procedure

The procedure

The Argo Plasma treatment is a precise procedure that utilises the synergy of radiofrequency energy and argon plasma to provide targeted skin tightening.

Initial consultation and preparation – During your first consultation, we will carry out a thorough examination of your skin’s condition, assess whether you are a suitable candidate and draw up a personalised treatment plan based on the extent of the problem area.

Administration of anaesthesia – Depending on the extent of the treatment, local or general anaesthesia is administered during the procedure itself to ensure maximum comfort throughout.

Making incisions – The doctor will make small skin incisions, approximately 0.5 cm in size, at strategic points through which a special probe will be inserted. The number of incisions depends on the size of the area being treated.

Application of Argo Plasma – A thin probe is carefully inserted into the subcutaneous space and the doctor moves it in a fan-shaped pattern to ensure the argon plasma acts evenly on the target area.

Tightening effect – Radiofrequency energy passing through argon gas creates plasma, which selectively acts on collagen fibres. These fibres contract immediately, leading to visible skin tightening.

Stimulation of regeneration – At the same time, the plasma stimulates the fibroblasts responsible for the production of collagen and elastin. This initiates a long-term regenerative process in the skin.

Completion of the procedure – After the treatment, the incisions are dressed and, if necessary, compression garments are applied. Argon gas acts as a cooling medium, protecting the surrounding tissue.

On which areas of the body is Argo Plasma most commonly used?

Argo Plasma is most effective on areas with loose skin – the abdomen following pregnancy or significant weight loss, the inner arms, thighs, buttocks or neck.

However, the technology is suitable for any area of the body with insufficient skin elasticity where extensive surgical correction is not required.

Recovery after the procedure

Recovery following Argo Plasma treatment is significantly shorter and more comfortable than with traditional surgical methods of skin tightening.

Immediate post-operative period – The first signs of skin tightening are visible immediately after the procedure. Mild swelling, bruising or occasional tenderness may occur in the treated area.

The first week – Swelling and bruising gradually subside over the course of a few days. It is important to follow the doctor’s instructions regarding aftercare of the incisions and the possible use of compression garments.

Long-term healing – The recovery period varies from person to person and usually lasts from a few days to several weeks. The gradual improvement in skin quality continues for months thanks to new collagen formation.

Active lifestyle – You can return to your usual activities within a few days; it is recommended that you resume more physically demanding activities gradually, in accordance with your doctor’s instructions.

Follow-up appointments – The first follow-up appointment takes place after one week to check that the incisions are healing properly; further appointments are scheduled as required. The final results will become fully apparent over a period of several weeks to months.

Price List

The cost of an Argo Plasma treatment depends on the size of the area being treated and whether it is combined with other procedures. The basic price starts at 20,000 CZK; we will determine the exact amount during our first consultation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Not sure whether Argo Plasma is right for you? We’d be happy to discuss everything with you during a personal consultation.

Can I combine Argo Plasma with fillers or Botox?

Yes, Argo Plasma can be safely combined with other aesthetic treatments, such as dermal fillers, botulinum toxin or laser procedures.

It is most commonly combined with liposuction for comprehensive body contouring. We recommend a consultation to determine the optimal timing for each treatment.

You may also wish to consider alternative treatments, such as Profhilo or microneedle radiofrequency.

How often does the procedure need to be repeated to maintain the results?

The results of Argo Plasma are long-lasting thanks to the stimulation of new collagen production, which continues for months after the treatment.

Repeat treatments are not usually necessary, but the technology allows for further treatments in the event of ongoing skin ageing or other physical changes, usually after several years.

Are there any contraindications for Argo Plasma treatment?

The main contraindications are pregnancy, breastfeeding, an active infection in the treatment area, severe heart disease, a pacemaker or autoimmune diseases.

A thorough examination and assessment of your health will always be carried out before the procedure to ensure the treatment is safe.
