The procedure for intimate area rejuvenation varies depending on the chosen method, ranging from non-invasive treatments to surgical reshaping. Each has a slightly different procedure and recovery time.
Before any treatment, you will need to undergo a cytology test with your gynaecologist and have an initial consultation at our clinic, where we will discuss the most suitable approach based on your health, options and requirements.
Non-invasive rejuvenation of the external genitalia using radiofrequency or laser
These methods are quick, gentle and do not require anaesthesia. However, they are solely external treatments and rejuvenation procedures that do not address any more serious aesthetic or health issues.
Radiofrequency rejuvenation takes approximately 30 minutes and is painless. The device emits controlled heat into the tissue, thereby stimulating collagen production and firming the skin.
The fractional CO₂ laser works on a similar principle but uses laser beams to intensively rejuvenate the tissue. The results become apparent within 4–6 weeks and last for up to 2 years.
Laser tightening of the internal genitalia
Laser tightening of the internal genitalia is a non-invasive method which uses laser beams to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the vaginal mucosa.
This results in tightening of the mucosa, increased elasticity and improved hydration, which may also help with mild stress incontinence.
The treatment itself takes 15–20 minutes and is carried out on an outpatient basis. The doctor inserts the laser probe into the vagina and rotates it gradually to treat the entire surface of the mucosa.
The procedure is painless and requires no anaesthesia.
We recommend at least 3 sessions for maximum effect.
Surgical genital
contouring Surgical genital contouring is a procedure carried out under general anaesthesia that addresses more advanced aesthetic and functional imperfections in the intimate area.
It adjusts the shape and size of the genitals, tightens the vaginal opening and can remove unsightly scars left after childbirth. The results of the surgical procedure can potentially be permanent.
The operation is carried out under general anaesthesia and takes approximately 1–2 hours.
The surgeon removes excess tissue, tightens the perineal muscles and the vaginal wall, and, if necessary, reshapes the vaginal opening.
It requires a one-day hospital stay.
In addition to the procedures mentioned above, we offer further treatments to help improve your intimate life or address specific aesthetic concerns in the intimate area.
For example, we perform labia majora augmentation, hymen removal and the removal of condylomas.
Recovery depending on the type of procedure
The duration and course of recovery depend on the chosen treatment method.
After radiofrequency or laser rejuvenation
You can resume your normal activities immediately after the procedure.
Mild swelling or redness in the treated area is common and will subside within a few hours.
For 1 week after treatment, we recommend avoiding hot water and saunas.
Sexual intercourse can be resumed after 5–7 days.
After laser tightening of the internal genitalia
Immediately after the procedure, you may experience a slight sensation of warmth in the vagina and increased discharge.
For 1 week after the procedure, you should avoid sexual intercourse and strenuous physical activity.
Visible results are apparent almost immediately; the full effects will be achieved within 3 months and will last for up to 2 years.
After surgical genital
remodelling Mild pain and swelling may occur in the first few days after the operation; these can be alleviated with ice packs and painkillers.
The recommended rest period is at least 14 days.
Normal activities can be resumed after 2 weeks, but we recommend waiting 6 weeks before resuming more intense physical activity and sport.
Sexual abstinence is required for 4–6 weeks.
Post-operative
check-ups Following a non-invasive procedure, no special check-up is required unless complications arise.
Following surgical treatment, the first check-up takes place within a week of the operation, with subsequent check-ups depending on individual healing progress.
