Why choose plasma lifting with us?

From a small sample of blood collected via centrifugation, we obtain pure blood plasma rich in platelets, which we inject into designated areas of the skin using micro-needles as a natural filler.

About the procedure

How will the procedure be carried out?

Blood plasma rejuvenation involves first drawing a small amount of blood from a vein, which is then centrifuged at high speed in a special centrifuge to extract pure blood plasma rich in platelets (thrombocytes) containing growth factors, which stimulate cells to produce the necessary collagen and hyaluronic acid in the skin.

This preparation takes approximately 10–15 minutes. The plasma is then injected into pre-marked areas of the skin using several micro-needle pricks, acting as a cosmetic filler.

An anaesthetic cream is applied to the treated area of the body prior to the procedure.

This is a quick outpatient procedure, after which there are no restrictions on normal daily activities.

What is the recovery process like after the procedure?

Following a plasma rejuvenation treatment, it is important to apply high-quality products with a high UV protection factor to the treated area.

In very rare cases, more sensitive individuals may experience slight swelling or redness at the injection site, but this will subside within a few hours.

It is not recommended to expose the skin to sunlight for approximately one week.

The final result (immediate, gradually becoming more pronounced up to approximately 4 weeks after treatment) is undeniably visible – a more youthful appearance, skin renewal and regeneration, firmer skin, darker circles under the eyes are reduced, and scars, pigment spots or skin conditions, such as acne, are alleviated.

Who will be guiding you through the plasma lifting procedure?

Dr Jana Votrubová, Ph.D. A specialist in dermatology. She has extensive practical and academic experience. Her areas of specialisation include the use of lasers, botulinum toxin and Juvederm dermal fillers.

Who should not undergo a plasma lifting treatment, and are there any contraindications to plasma rejuvenation?

Plasma lifting should not be performed on people with a blood clotting disorder or who are taking blood-thinning medication.

There are also several contraindications for this treatment, which are listed below. If in doubt, we recommend contacting our specialists.

Blood plasma rejuvenation is not recommended in the following cases:

  • You have recently had a chemical peel or laser treatment
  • Your skin is not healthy or is injured
  • In the event of inflammation, infection or illness
  • If you have a blood clotting disorder
  • If you have a cancerous condition
  • If you have a blood-forming disorder

It is also not advisable to take painkillers or anti-inflammatory medication for two days prior to the procedure.

How long do the results of plasma therapy last?

The duration of the results of plasma therapy can vary and depends on various factors, including the individual characteristics of each client, skin quality, the type of equipment used and the technique employed. Generally speaking, the results of plasma therapy are visible immediately after the procedure and gradually improve over a period of several weeks to months, when the maximum effect is achieved. As regards the longevity of the results, the duration of the effect can vary. For some clients, the results may last up to one year, whilst others may still notice visible changes even after two years.

How often does plasma therapy need to be repeated?

For an even more pronounced effect, the treatment can be repeated three times in succession, but not sooner than four weeks apart. The treatment can also be combined with other non-invasive procedures, such as hyaluronic acid injections, which can easily address even deep wrinkles.

Are there any alternatives to this procedure?

An alternative to plasma rejuvenation is, for example, radiofrequency microneedling. This minimally invasive treatment can smooth out wrinkles, provide a gentle non-surgical facelift, and remove scars and stretch marks. Another option is facial photorejuvenation using IPL, or the more invasive CO₂ laser treatment – known as fractional resurfacing. Are you more interested in a more invasive or surgical method? We also offer a traditional surgical facelift or double chin removal, which we perform under gentle low-flow general anaesthesia.
