He specialises in breast augmentation, liposuction and aesthetic gynaecology procedures. How is a nose job carried out?

It always depends on whether the surgeon and the patient opt for non-surgical rhinoplasty or conventional rhinoplasty.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure carried out under local anaesthetic – it can correct virtually any asymmetry of the nose, but does not involve surgical adjustments to the nasal bone or cartilage. It is a gentle procedure on the body and allows you to return to your daily life without any restrictions.

Traditional surgical rhinoplasty is carried out under general anaesthesia; it therefore places a greater strain on the body, involves a longer recovery period (healing), including the necessary hospital stay, and requires time off work. It can not only correct any asymmetry but also involves surgical intervention on the bony or cartilaginous structures of the nose.

If, in addition to an aesthetic concern, the patient is troubled by a functional issue (impaired breathing, nasal deformity), rhinoplasty can be performed simultaneously with septoplasty. Septoplasty is carried out at our clinic exclusively by an ENT specialist, who works in partnership with a plastic surgeon during the operation. This enables us to guarantee the best and safest procedure.

A consultation is required prior to the procedure. To enhance your appearance, you can also undergo treatments such as dermal fillers or otoplasty at our clinic.

Recovery after the procedure

Following a pre-operative examination, which can be carried out directly at our clinic, the patient is admitted on the day of the procedure. The operation is then performed at our clinic.

After the operation, the client stays with us for a further 1–2 days and is then discharged to recover at home. It is essential to follow a gentle recovery regime with a minimum of 14 days’ convalescence.

We ensure that clients attend regular follow-up appointments after their operation.

How much does a nose job cost?

The cost of rhinoplasty depends on the complexity of the procedure. It also depends on whether it is carried out on its own or in combination with another plastic surgery procedure.

  • Soft tissue – tip of the nose, general anaesthesia: 35,300 CZK
  • Full nose surgery – open rhinoplasty: 51,300 CZK
  • Surgery on the entire nose, including alar reduction – open rhinoplasty: 61,500 CZK
  • Septoplasty in conjunction with rhinoplasty: 19,300 CZK

FAQ

Frequently Asked
Questions

We answer the most frequently asked questions about nose surgery.

When should you have a rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) is the ideal and straightforward solution for anyone who is unhappy with the most prominent feature of their face – the nose.

It is primarily an aesthetic issue – relating to shape or post-traumatic deformity. The nose can be enlarged, reshaped or corrected for irregularities, all through a surgical procedure known as rhinoplasty.

By combining rhinoplasty with septoplasty, we also address functional issues.

How long should you massage your nose after a rhinoplasty?

Massages following the procedure are usually recommended several times a day for about a month.

How can complications following rhinoplasty be prevented?

You should always be in good health when undergoing surgery. Do not take antibiotics or blood-thinning medication at the time of the operation.

Is there an age limit for nose surgery?

We recommend having nose reshaping surgery at a younger age. Ideally, between the ages of 18 and 50.

What is the difference between open and closed rhinoplasty?

This relates to the complexity of the procedure, as open rhinoplasty is more demanding than closed rhinoplasty, which leaves no visible scars.
