Vibration-assisted liposuction

Premier Clinic Operating Theatre

We perform vibration-assisted liposuction using a gentle technique involving a Swiss-made device that breaks down fat cells and then suctions them away. It is suitable for large areas and can be combined with laser liposuction to smooth out unevenness.

Why choose vibrational liposuction with us?

We use a Swiss vibration system, in which the cannulas oscillate within a range of 0.5–5 mm and the intensity of the vibrations can be adjusted as required.

We effectively combine this procedure with laser liposuction using a German 980 nm laser – this tightens the subcutaneous tissue and further minimises any unevenness.

About the procedure

About the procedure

Vibration-assisted liposuction is now one of the most sought-after cosmetic surgery treatments. It effectively removes fat deposits from problematic areas such as the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, arms, double chin, knees and hips. Vibration-assisted liposuction is the successor to tumescent liposuction.

Vibration-assisted liposuction and who it is suitable for

Vibration liposuction is suitable for both men and women and, as one of the effective methods for removing unwanted subcutaneous fat, it has a body-contouring and body-sculpting effect. Nowadays, a large proportion of the population is exposed to a demanding pace of life and work, which quite often involves periods of stress; this in turn leads to the accumulation of subcutaneous fat in many visible areas. Even regular exercise or cutting out certain foods may not help.

Why choose vibrating liposuction?

Vibration-assisted liposuction, which utilises vibration technology, is one of the gentlest, most effective and safest forms of liposuction available today. At our clinic, we use state-of-the-art Swiss vibrating liposuction systems. It does not address excess weight, but it does help to reduce fat deposits in areas where there is excessive accumulation of subcutaneous fat. Vibration liposuction does not require you to engage in strenuous exercise or restrict your diet – whilst this is also a path to a slim, toned body, but sometimes even these efforts do not yield the expected results – put simply, vibrating liposuction reshapes the figure without creating unevenness in the treated area.

Benefits of the procedure

Vibration-assisted liposuction offers more than just aesthetic benefits; it boosts self-confidence and body satisfaction, improves body shape, and also helps to reduce body volume. The main advantages of vibrational liposuction over traditional liposuction are, in particular, a reduction in the length of post-operative hospitalisation, a shorter recovery period, minimal strain on the body, protection against the formation of unevenness on the body, and the absence of damage to surrounding tissues.

  • A simple solution for removing fat from problem areas
  • Reduced bleeding and pain
  • Minimal recovery time
  • A safe and gentle outpatient procedure
  • A permanent solution, provided a healthy lifestyle is maintained
  • The procedure does not need to be repeated

Combination of treatments – client recommendations

Vibration liposuction can be effectively combined with so-called laser liposuction, which is carried out at our clinic using a German liposuction laser with a wavelength of 980 nm. Laser liposuction, when combined with vibrating liposuction, enhances the results of the procedure, tightens the subcutaneous tissue after liposuction and further minimises any unevenness.

Treatment process

Vibration-assisted liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure that is carried out on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia when treating a single area, or under analgosedation or general anaesthesia in the case of more extensive treatment (covering several areas). The main principle of the vibrating liposuction method is the removal of excess fat using vibrating liposuction cannulas with a dense network of tiny holes, which move in a gentle oscillating motion within a range of 0.5–5 mm, which remove the fat layer without damaging the surrounding tissue. The intensity of the vibration can be adjusted as required. The entry points are covered with plasters after the cannulas have been inserted, and the patient returns home wearing special elastic garments.

Vibration-assisted liposuction is performed in combination with tumescent anaesthesia – the pre-determined area is infused with a special tumescent solution, which has the ability to dissolve subcutaneous fat cells, contains a vasoconstrictor to reduce bleeding, and includes an anaesthetic. Vibration liposuction can also be supplemented with laser liposuction to tighten the treated area. The procedure is routinely combined with laser liposuction. We can use liposuction techniques involving a German liposuction laser with a wavelength of 980 nm, which we have available at the clinic.

The procedure takes 1–1.5 hours, depending on the size of the area being treated.

Before the procedure

Vibration-assisted liposuction is only suitable for healthy patients! However, there are other circumstances in which it cannot be carried out:

  • Inflammation, viral infections and bacterial infections
  • Cancer
  • Epilepsy, diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding
  • Blood clotting disorders
  • Heart and circulatory problems

Before undergoing vibration liposuction, you will need to stop taking blood-thinning medication and any medication containing acetylsalicylic acid for approximately 14 days. Please inform your doctor of any health conditions you have and all the medicines you are taking to avoid any unnecessary complications later on.

After the procedure

Vibration-assisted liposuction is generally well tolerated; the treated areas may become red, and swelling and bruising may appear at the injection and incision sites, but these will subside within a few days. If the procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia, hospitalisation is not required and you can resume your normal daily activities immediately; however, we recommend limiting yourself to lighter activities for at least a week and avoiding exposure to direct sunlight or sunbeds.

Following general anaesthesia, a one-day hospital stay is required. A standard recovery period of around 14 days is observed, during which it is necessary to wear special breathable elastic compression garments, even overnight. To achieve better and faster results, it is essential to maintain adequate fluid intake.

Vibration-assisted liposuction is highly effective at removing unwanted fat deposits from the body. Nevertheless, it is important to note that a good result also depends on the patient’s genetic predisposition, the elasticity and contractility of the skin, and adherence to a healthy lifestyle. The final result is visible immediately and is maximised within a few weeks.

A beautifully sculpted body is no longer a problem. You don’t need drastic diets or starvation, nor hundreds of hours in the gym. A modern and simple solution for achieving your dream body is vibrational liposuction, which will not only improve problem areas but also boost your self-confidence – so that you feel comfortable in your own skin and your expectations are met.

Who is vibrating liposuction suitable for?

The treatment is suitable for both men and women who have excessive subcutaneous fat deposits despite regular exercise and dieting. The treatment can be applied to the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, arms, double chin, knees and hips. The method does not address excess weight – it helps to reduce fat deposits and reshape the figure.

What are the contraindications for vibration-assisted liposuction?

The procedure is not suitable in cases of inflammation, viral or bacterial infection, cancer, epilepsy, diabetes, high blood pressure, during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding, in cases of blood clotting disorders, or in the event of heart or circulatory problems. Blood-thinning medication must be discontinued approximately 14 days before the treatment.

How long does it take to recover from vibration-assisted liposuction?

With local anaesthesia, hospitalisation is not necessary and you can return to your normal routine almost immediately, although we recommend sticking to lighter activities for a week. Following general anaesthesia, a one-day stay in hospital is required. Recovery takes approximately 14 days, and special elastic compression garments must be worn even whilst sleeping.
