About the procedure

Why choose our clinic for teeth whitening?

Choosing the right clinic is extremely important when it comes to teeth whitening. We offer a combination of professionalism, modern technology and a personalised approach, which guarantees safe and long-lasting results.

A safe and gentle method
We use the tried-and-tested Pure Whitening system, which is clinically tested and gentle on tooth enamel. The whitening gel contains no harsh substances that could damage the structure of your teeth. Thanks to a combination of in-clinic and at-home whitening, we achieve optimal results.

Results after just one visit
You’ll notice a visible lightening of your teeth during your very first visit to our practice. You’ll then achieve the full effect by continuing the whitening process at home using custom-made trays and professional whitening gel.

Supervision by a dentist
Every procedure is carried out under the direct supervision of our experienced dentists. Before the whitening begins, we carry out a thorough examination of your mouth to ensure that your teeth and gums are healthy and ready for treatment.

Whitening suitable even for sensitive teeth
The Pure Whitening method is specially designed to minimise tooth sensitivity both during and after the whitening process. We use gels with an optimal concentration of peroxide and apply desensitising agents to ensure maximum comfort.

Free pre-treatment
consultation We offer every new client a free consultation, during which we will assess the condition of your teeth, discuss your expectations and draw up a personalised whitening plan. You will learn everything about the procedure, the expected results and aftercare.

A modern setting in the centre of Prague
Our orthodontic clinic is located in the centre of Prague and offers modern, well-equipped treatment rooms with a pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to excellent public transport links and parking facilities, it is easy to reach us.

How will the procedure be carried out?

The Pure Whitening method combines professional in-clinic whitening with a follow-up home treatment, ensuring optimal and long-lasting results.

First visit – consultation and preparation
During your first visit, we will carry out a comprehensive examination of your mouth and assess the condition of your teeth. It is important that your teeth are healthy and free from tartar before whitening. If necessary, we will first recommend a dental hygiene session to remove plaque and tartar and prepare your teeth for the whitening treatment itself. We will also take an impression of your teeth to produce custom-made whitening trays.

Second visit – professional in-clinic
whitening During your second visit, we’ll carry out the initial professional whitening treatment right here at our clinic. First, we’ll protect your gums and soft tissues with a special protective gel or a rubber dam. We then apply the highly concentrated Pure Whitening gel to your teeth and activate it using a special UV lamp. The process takes approximately 60–90 minutes and results in immediate whitening. We will also provide you with custom-made trays and professional whitening gel for home treatment.

Home whitening
In the comfort of your own home, you continue the whitening process using custom-made trays that fit your teeth perfectly. You apply the whitening gel to the trays and wear them as instructed by your dentist – usually for 1–2 hours a day or overnight for a period of 7–14 days. The combination of in-clinic and at-home whitening ensures not only fast but, above all, long-lasting and even results.

Follow-up appointment
Once you have completed the at-home whitening treatment, you will come to see us for a follow-up examination, during which we will assess the results and provide you with recommendations for maintaining the whiteness of your teeth in the long term.

FAQ

Frequently Asked
Questions

Below you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about Pure Whitening teeth whitening.

Can I have my teeth whitened even if I have fillings or crowns?

Yes, you can have your teeth whitened even if you have fillings or crowns, but bear in mind that these artificial materials do not whiten.

The whitening gel only acts on natural tooth enamel. After whitening, therefore, fillings or crowns may appear darker in contrast to your whitened teeth.

In such cases, it is possible to replace old fillings or crowns with new ones in a shade that matches your new, whiter teeth once the whitening treatment is complete.

During your consultation, we will inform you of all the options and suggest the best course of action.

How long does the effect of teeth whitening last?

The results of the Pure Whitening teeth-whitening treatment usually last for 1–3 years. It also depends a great deal on your eating habits and dental care.

If you regularly consume foods and drinks that easily stain your teeth, such as coffee, black tea or red wine, or if you smoke cigarettes, the effect may fade more quickly.

To maintain beautifully white teeth, we recommend regular dental check-ups every 6 months, using whitening toothpaste and minimising your intake of staining substances.

You can also carry out occasional supplementary home whitening using the trays and gel provided.

Are there any contraindications where teeth whitening is not recommended?

Teeth whitening is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under the age of 18, or people with untreated tooth decay, gum inflammation or periodontitis.

Any dental problems must be resolved before whitening. If you suffer from excessive tooth sensitivity or are allergic to any of the ingredients in the whitening gel, whitening may be contraindicated.

During your consultation, we will carefully assess your condition and determine whether teeth whitening is safe for you; if not, we will suggest an alternative solution.

How should I look after my teeth after having them whitened?

After having your teeth whitened, it is important to follow the so-called ‘white diet’ for at least 48 hours. Avoid foods and drinks that stain your teeth, and do not smoke.

In the weeks that follow, use a whitening or remineralising toothpaste, brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss regularly.

We recommend having a dental hygiene appointment every 6 months and, if you experience increased sensitivity, using desensitising gels or toothpastes. These habits will help to maintain the results achieved for as long as possible.
