Knee liposuction is a rapid procedure in local anesthesia, the treated area is injected with a special tumescent substance containing an anesthetic substance that promotes numbness and adrenaline, which provokes the contraction of blood vessels, and this reduces bleeding. Excess fat is then aspirated using special liposuction cannulas connected to a suction device. The anesthetic lasts up to 20 hours and no suturing is required. Liposuction of the knees lasts about 60 minutes, rather a smaller amount is aspirated, the patient is put on elastic sleeves for a better result and goes home with postoperative instructions.
Knee liposuction can be combined with other aesthetic liposuction procedures.

Laser knee liposuction uses laser beams that specifically target the fragmentation of fat cells to make liposuction more effective. Laser knee liposuction stimulates the formation of new collagen fibers, which is the best means for tightening loose skin and improving the uniform shaping of the treated area without skin sagging. The formation of swelling and bruising is also eliminated, bleeding is reduced, and it is less of a burden on the body. The postoperative recovery period is also shortened.
A high-quality German liposuction laser with a wavelength of 980nm is used for laser liposuction.
Vibrating knee liposuction works on the principle of gentle oscillation (vibration) of liposuction cannulas, which are permeated with a dense network of tiny openings and very gently assist in suctioning fat tissue without damaging surrounding tissue. The strength of the vibration can be adjusted as needed. The entry points after the application of the cannulas are simply covered with a bandage. Vibrating knee liposuction reduces the formation of skin irregularities that can occur after classic liposuction. The burden on the body is minimal.
A Swiss unit is used for vibrating liposuction.
Knee liposuction is only suitable for a healthy patient. We recommend stopping blood thinners, including medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid, at least 2 weeks before the knee liposuction procedure.
Knee liposuction is well tolerated; the treated area may show redness, and swelling or bruising may occur at the injection sites, which will disappear within a few days. In the first 3 days, remnants of the tumescent solution may leak from the injection sites, which is not concerning. Showering is advisable only after 24 hours post-procedure, but compression garments must be worn for 2–4 weeks, except for personal hygiene. As a preventive measure, a healing ointment can be applied to the wounds, which your treating physician will recommend, and it is advisable to increase fluid intake. We do not recommend visiting a tanning bed, sunbathing, sauna, or pool for about a month, and significant physical exertion is also not advisable. We recommend a rest period of at least 7 days; clients often return to work after just 3 days.
In the case of classic knee liposuction, it is necessary to prevent the formation of lumps and other irregularities; therefore, we recommend using wooden rollers and gently massaging the skin to smooth it out for about 30 minutes daily for approximately 14 days.
Adhering to the recommended postoperative instructions affects the good final result, which will be visible after about 2 weeks, while the final result will be known only after 2 months.
