Are you interested in 400 ml augmentation, but are not sure if this volume might be too large for you? Implants are available in various sizes and shapes. The current offering is quite extensive, so it’s no wonder that you are having difficulty deciding.
In our article, we will outline how the optimal size is determined and provide a basic comparison with other sizes. This way, you will have a much better understanding of this issue and will not be surprised if your doctor recommends a different size than you originally planned.
Breast Augmentation 400 ml - who is it suitable for?
The size and shape of breasts is a matter of personal taste for the client. The plastic surgeon always strives to accommodate the patient as much as possible. If her wishes conflict with his professional opinion, it is his duty to inform her of all potential health risks. In some cases, the physician has the right to completely refuse the client. This primarily concerns augmentations with excessively large implants, which are associated with a number of serious health risks.
What is the maximum standard size of implants?
In the Czech Republic, selected facilities can apply implants with a maximum volume of up to 1010 ml. However, if this size is still insufficient for the client, they can have custom silicone implants made. Please note that there is no warranty for non-standard sizes, and their price is, of course, significantly higher. The manufacturer also requires full payment before the production begins. If you desire extreme augmentation, be prepared for the fact that most Czech doctors will likely refuse to perform such extreme enlargements.
How to choose the optimal size of breast implants?
If you desire a large volume but at the same time want the result to be as natural as possible, communicate all your requirements to the doctor during the consultation. An experienced surgeon will suggest the most optimal solution based on their years of practice, taking into account your body structure and other important criteria that have a significant impact on the final appearance.
The optimal size and shape will be determined by the doctor based on:
- height
- weight
- shoulder and chest width
- ratio between waist and hips
- distance between the breasts
- original condition and size of the breasts
- patient’s lifestyle

What is the difference in the final size after augmentation with 300 ml implants?
Since the volume of implants is indicated in milliliters, not everyone can visualize the actual size. However, you do not need to worry about stepping into the unknown before the surgery. You will be able to try on the selected implant directly during the consultation using a special bra.
Small implants may be as little as 120 ml. If we convert milliliters to traditional “cup” sizes for bras, 150 ml represents approximately one cup size.
Doctors most commonly use implants sized between 225 and 300 ml. Larger sizes up to 400 ml are not uncommon.
In some cases, the doctor may directly recommend a larger implant size. You should not worry about an increase of up to 50 ml. This change will not be noticeable visually, but it will improve the overall appearance of the breasts.

Breast augmentation with implants is not always necessary.
If you are satisfied with the size but over the years or due to breastfeeding your breasts have sagged, your doctor may recommend a breast lift without implants. The price of the procedure starts at 51,000 CZK. For the best possible result, the surgeon may suggest a lift that is also combined with augmentation. Each case needs to be assessed individually.
