After many years of decision-making, I underwent augmentation on November 8, 2019, at Premier Clinic in Prague. Before my own abdominoplasty, I underwent several consultations with different plastic surgeons. Even at this stage, Dr. Slaninka impressed me with his approach – human, calm, professional, without rushing and without the feeling that it was just about the money. Based on the above, I decided to have the procedure performed by this doctor – abdominoplasty including the stitching of the diastasis of the abdominal muscles. I was lucky, and the surgery was scheduled for about a week after the consultation, so there wasn't much time for fear and decision-making. Fortunately, the surgery went without complications, and I was discharged home the day after the operation. The postoperative pain was not significant. Course of Breast Surgery in Cases of Asymmetry
The first step is always an individual examination of the specific patient, based on which the doctor will choose the most suitable method of plastic surgery.
Breast asymmetry can be addressed in several ways:
Augmentation of both breasts with implants chosen to balance the breast asymmetry as much as possible.
Reshaping or augmentation of breast size with autologous fat.
Several possible methods of breast modeling, from which the most suitable is chosen according to the patient's needs. Breast modeling is the most commonly performed breast surgery after childbirth.

The actual implementation of the procedure depends on the chosen method of asymmetry removal. Prior to surgery, the patient will undergo all necessary preoperative examinations, receive detailed instructions regarding preoperative preparation, and we will explain the course of the procedure and the recovery process.
All procedures for the removal of breast asymmetry are performed under general anesthesia.
Post-operative recovery
Rehabilitation depends on the method of the procedure and is always carefully explained by the treating physician.
Hospitalization usually lasts 1-2 days after the surgery, after which the patient is discharged to home care. Absorbable stitches are mainly used during the procedure, so there is no need for subsequent removal.
As part of postoperative care, sleeping on the back is also recommended. The patient should avoid greater strain and sports for at least 6-8 weeks.
After returning from the hospital, we recommend a minimum one-week rest period; after this period, the patient may slowly engage in lighter activities (office work, etc.), however, greater strain, stress on the pectoral muscles, and lifting heavy objects are not recommended.
The first shower should not take place until at least 4 days after the surgery, and the scars must always be carefully but thoroughly dried.
When inserting implants, it is necessary to wear an elastic bra 24 hours a day for 4 weeks; afterwards, it is recommended to use a soft, wire-free bra, while a traditional bra can be worn no sooner than 2 months after the surgery. When augmenting breasts with one's own fat, on the other hand, we recommend keeping the breasts as free as possible to avoid compression of the shaping and potential damage to the result itself.
The operated area should be protected from direct sunlight for at least one month, and postoperative scars should not be exposed to the sun for three months.
After the procedure, some swelling and bruising are common, which will resolve on their own within a few weeks. A few days post-operatively, the affected area may be sensitive and painful; it is possible to use over-the-counter pain relief medications.
Post-operative check-up is recommended one week after the surgery, and thereafter at the doctor's discretion, typically after 5-6 weeks.

Two weeks after the surgery, it is recommended to begin pressure massage, which will aid in faster healing – the pads of the fingers are pressed against the surface for 10 seconds, and this procedure is carried out along the entire length of the scar.
Healing after breast asymmetry correction is individual and depends again on the type of procedure performed on the patient. With proper postoperative care and an uneventful course of treatment, the final result of the surgery is usually achieved approximately 6 months after the procedure.
