About the procedure
Buttock liposuction makes sense. A firm and symmetrical backside is something that each of us desires. It is a minimally invasive procedure that removes excess fat from the buttock area. We use several types of liposuction for the procedure - vibration liposuction, water jet liposuction, laser liposuction, or radiofrequency liposuction. All liposuction methods are invasive, and fat is suctioned from the specific area.

Liposuction of the buttocks successfully reduces the effects of lifestyle and other influences on the buttocks. However, it is important to know that liposuction of the buttocks does not address overweight; excessive fat in the buttocks can also occur in very slim patients. The removal of excess fat from the buttocks and sculpting can be achieved through simple and gentle liposuction of the buttocks. This procedure is performed using a tumescent solution and involves suctioning out subcutaneous fat tissue with thin cannulas to reshape the buttocks into the desired contour.

Treatment course
Buttock liposuction is performed under local anesthesia, and the treated area is injected with a special tumescent solution containing an anesthetic agent that promotes numbness and adrenaline, which stimulates blood vessel constriction, thereby reducing bleeding. Using special fine liposuction cannulas connected to a suction device, excess fat is then aspirated. The effect of the anesthetic lasts up to 20 hours. Buttock liposuction takes approximately 2 hours, after which the patient wears compression garments and leaves with postoperative instructions.

What distinguishes liposuction methods
In addition to traditional tumescent liposuction, the procedure can be performed using laser liposuction for the buttocks, where laser beams target the breakdown of fat cells, providing a better effect. Laser liposuction for the buttocks also stimulates the production of new collagen fibers, which is the best method for firming loose skin and improving the even shaping of the treated area without skin flaps. The formation of swelling and bruising is also eliminated, bleeding is reduced, and it represents a lesser strain on the body. The postoperative recovery period is also shortened.
A high-quality German liposuction laser with a wavelength of 980nm is used for laser liposuction.
Gentle oscillation (vibration) of liposuction cannulas, which are permeated with a dense network of tiny openings, aids in the suctioning of adipose tissue very delicately, without damaging the surrounding tissue. The intensity of the vibration can be adjusted as needed. The entry points after the application of the cannulas are simply covered with a bandage. Vibration liposuction of the buttocks reduces the formation of skin irregularities that can occur after traditional liposuction. The strain on the body is minimal.
Before the procedure
Buttock liposuction is suitable only for healthy patients. We recommend stopping blood-thinning medications, as well as medications containing acetylsalicylic acid, at least 2 weeks prior to the buttock liposuction procedure. It is important to note that, in addition to being overweight, it does not address the formation of cellulite.
After the procedure
Buttock liposuction is somewhat more demanding compared to other liposuction procedures, yet effective. The treated area may show signs of redness, and swelling or bruising may develop at the injection sites, which will disappear within a few days. In the area of the injections, residual tumescent solution may leak out in the first 3 days, which is normal.
Showering is suitable only after
For 24 hours after the procedure, compression garments must be worn for 2–6 weeks, with the exception of personal hygiene. As a preventive measure, a healing ointment may be applied to the wounds, which will be recommended by your attending physician. It is advisable to increase fluid intake, and for about a month, we do not recommend visiting a tanning bed, sunbathing, sauna, or swimming pool; also, significant physical exertion is not advisable. We recommend a period of rest for at least 7 days; after approximately 2–4 days, you may engage in light activities.
In the case of classic liposuction of the buttocks
It is necessary to prevent the formation of lumps and other irregularities; therefore, we recommend using wooden rollers and a gentle massage technique to smooth the skin, just 30 minutes a day for about 14 days. We also recommend moisturizing the treated area.
Adhering to the recommended post-operative instructions affects the final result. This is usually visible approximately 2 weeks after the procedure, with the final result apparent after about 2 months.
