A 400 ml implant? What size is right for you?

Are you interested in a 400 ml breast augmentation, but aren’t sure whether this volume might be too large for you? Implants are manufactured in various sizes and shapes. The current range is very extensive, so it’s no wonder you’re finding it hard to decide.

In this article, we’ll outline how the optimal size is determined and provide a basic comparison with other sizes. This will help you understand the issue much better, and you won’t be surprised if your doctor recommends a different size to the one you’d originally planned.

400 ml breast augmentation – who is it suitable for?

The size and shape of the breasts are a matter of the patient’s personal preference. A plastic surgeon always endeavours to accommodate the patient’s wishes as much as possible. If her wishes conflict with his professional opinion, it is his duty to alert her to all possible health risks. In some cases, the doctor has the right to refuse the patient entirely. This applies primarily to augmentations involving excessively large implants, which are associated with a number of serious health risks.

What is the maximum standard size for implants?

In the Czech Republic, selected clinics will insert implants with a maximum volume of up to 1010 ml. However, if even this size is not sufficient for the patient, she can have bespoke silicone implants made. However, non-standard sizes are no longer covered by the guarantee, and their price is, of course, much higher. The manufacturer also requires full payment to be made before production begins. If you are seeking extreme breast augmentation, be prepared for the fact that most Czech doctors will likely refuse to perform such an extreme procedure.

How to choose the optimal size of breast implants?

If you want a large volume but also want the result to look as natural as possible, discuss all your requirements with your surgeon during your consultation. An experienced surgeon will, based on their many years of practice, suggest the most suitable solution, taking into account your body type and other important criteria that have a significant impact on the final appearance.

The doctor will determine the optimal size and shape based on:

  • height
  • weight
  • shoulder and chest width
  • the ratio between waist and hips
  • the distance between the breasts
  • original condition and size of the breasts
  • the patient’s lifestyle

What is the difference in the final size after augmentation with 300 ml implants?

As the volume of implants is measured in millilitres, not everyone can visualise the actual size. But you needn’t worry about stepping into the unknown before your operation. You’ll be able to try on your chosen implant during the consultation using a special bra.

Small implants can be as little as 120 ml. If we convert millilitres to traditional bra ‘cup’ sizes, 150 ml is roughly equivalent to one cup size.

Doctors most commonly insert implants ranging from 225 to 300 ml. However, larger sizes up to 400 ml are not uncommon.

In some cases, the doctor will directly recommend a larger implant size. You need not worry at all about an increase in volume of up to 50 ml. You won’t notice this change at a glance, but it will enhance the overall appearance of your bust.

Our tip

Nothing can quite replace seeing the results for yourself. We recommend browsing through our gallery of before-and-after breast augmentation photos.

Implant-based augmentation isn’t always necessary

If you are happy with your size but your breasts have sagged over the years or as a result of breastfeeding, your surgeon may recommend a lift without implants. The price of the procedure starts at 51,000 CZK. For the best possible result, the surgeon may suggest a lift combined with augmentation. Each case must be assessed individually.

We always offer our clients something extra.

We are the only clinic in the Czech Republic to provide visualisations using the DIVINA 3D scanner.

You can see a realistic preview of the surgical outcome as early as your first consultation.
