How to firm up your breasts? The success of your efforts depends on many factors
Throughout life, the female body undergoes changes that have a direct impact on breast firmness. Over time, every woman experiences sagging due to ageing and gravity.
Some changes can be influenced by a healthy lifestyle, massage, regular exercise and the use of firming skincare products. Other changes are permanent. In these specific cases, plastic surgery is the best solution.
5 main reasons why your breasts may be sagging:
- Natural ageing and gravity – sooner or later, this factor affects all women, regardless of their genetic makeup.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding – the breasts gain and then rapidly lose volume. In the case of long-term breastfeeding, this process repeats itself countless times, which is why the breasts may lose both their shape and volume after breastfeeding has ended. However, this condition need not be permanent. It all depends on the elasticity of your skin and your hormonal balance. It is not an absolute rule that all women’s breasts are damaged after breastfeeding.
- Menopause – due to the hormonal changes taking place, the skin loses its elasticity.
- An unhealthy lifestyle – smoking and excessive sun exposure have a negative impact on skin firmness. Being overweight or obese also causes the breasts to sag.
- Significant or rapid weight loss – to a greater or lesser extent, sagging of the breasts will always occur following significant weight loss. It depends on your original breast size and whether you lost weight solely through a weight-loss diet, or whether you also exercised regularly whilst losing weight. In cases of extreme weight loss, sagging skin will not tighten up with exercise. The excess skin must be removed by a surgeon.

How can you firm up your breasts after giving birth?
Pregnancy, the postnatal period and breastfeeding are natural processes, but they take a real toll on a woman’s body. Hormone levels change dramatically. The body also has to cope with weight gain and subsequent weight loss. The skin on the breasts is repeatedly subjected to excessive stretching, which naturally affects its elasticity.
After breastfeeding, breasts may look ‘tired’; sometimes they are also covered in stretch marks. It is not so much a question of how long you breastfeed, but rather your body type and genetic make-up.
Some mums breastfeed each child for two years, yet the duration of breastfeeding has only a minimal effect on their breasts.
How can you firm up your breasts whilst breastfeeding without resorting to plastic surgery? Is it even possible?
First and foremost, you should arm yourself with patience. Immediately after giving birth, your body needs to adjust to the changes and heal. You can only objectively assess the effects of breastfeeding on your body at the earliest six months (ideally a year) after you’ve stopped breastfeeding.
However, you don’t have to rely solely on your genes and wait idly for an uncertain outcome. Even whilst you’re breastfeeding, you can incorporate various preventative measures into your routine to support your skin’s elasticity.
- Regular loofah massages in the shower – you can enhance the effect by alternating between hot and cold water. A loofah stimulates blood circulation, softens your skin and firms the tissue.
- A series of special exercises to firm the breasts – they are simple and quick, so even a new mum can manage them. The ‘plank’ is a very popular example. This exercise strengthens the muscles throughout your body and takes just 2 minutes a day. The exercise looks very simple, but holding this position for two minutes can be a Herculean task for beginners. The most important thing is correct posture. So, to be on the safe side, watch an instructional video before you start so that you perform the exercise absolutely correctly.
- Applying firming skincare products – high-quality skincare products containing collagen will boost your skin’s elasticity. However, if you are actively breastfeeding, do check the ingredients carefully!
How can you firm up your breasts after breastfeeding?
Massages, firming creams and exercises are excellent preventative measures that can alleviate the unpleasant effects caused by pregnancy, breastfeeding or rapid weight loss. However, if your breasts remain empty more than a year after giving birth or the skin is extremely loose, the only truly effective solution is breast contouring or, where appropriate, breast augmentation combined with contouring.
We will restore beauty and firmness to your breasts.
We perform breast lifts and augmentation for sagging breasts lacking volume.
How can large breasts be lifted?
Large natural breasts are not always an advantage. Heavy breasts do not retain their shape as well as smaller ones. Furthermore, the delicate skin is subjected to much greater strain. Large, sagging breasts are impractical and look unattractive. Voluminous breasts can also cause serious health problems. Most commonly, women with large breasts complain of back and head pain.
In such cases, the optimal solution is reduction mammoplasty, during which part of the breast tissue and excess skin are removed. The surgeon will also reposition the nipple and areola upwards to sculpt the desired shape.
Sagging breasts are not just a problem for women. How can a man firm up his breasts?
Gynecomastia in men is not uncommon. It involves a benign enlargement of the mammary glands (usually on both sides). The causes can be physiological or pathological in nature. At certain stages of a man’s life, this is a completely normal phenomenon (in babies, during puberty and in old age). In youth, it is often just a temporary problem that resolves itself. If it persists, or if the glands are enlarged asymmetrically or to an extreme degree, this condition can have a very negative impact on a man’s mental well-being.
The solution is hormone therapy or plastic surgery, during which the excess breast tissue is removed and, where necessary, liposuction is also carried out on the surrounding area.

The price for reshaping at our clinic starts at 51,000 CZK; reshaping combined with augmentation costs from 61,800 CZK (excluding implants).
